Dr. David Kimmel grew up during the time of Sea Hunt and Jacques Cousteau. He started scuba diving at the age of 9 and dreamt of becoming a marine biologist. He pursued this dream at Texas A&M, and upon graduation, reality hit with his only job offer being in the Antarctic. Not happy with that prospect, Dr. Kimmel entered the field of Clinical Microbiology working at the University of Kentucky Medical Center for 9 years. During this time, Dr. Kimmel started graduate school and really enjoyed doing basic research. Greatly influenced by his graduate advisor, Dr. Kimmel applied to dental school so he could continue his research. Dr. Kimmel graduated from the University of Louisville Dental School in 1989 and currently has a private practice in Hudson, Florida.
