Dr. Dolphus Dawson is Professor and Chair of the Department of Oral Health Practice of the University of Kentucky College of Dentistry. He is the Director of Graduate Periodontology. Dr. Dawson received his dental degree and certificate of Advanced General Dentistry from the University of Louisville. He received his Certificate in Periodontology, MS Oral Biology and MPH-Epidemiology from the University of Kentucky.
Dr. Dawson has been involved as an investigator or co-investigator on NIH-funded and Corporate-funded studies and has chaired or served on committees within the American Academy of Periodontology, American Association for Dental, Oral, and Craniofacial Research, and American Dental Education Association. He is a member of the Institute for International Team for Implantology (ITI).
Dr. Dawson is a certified instructor for the Institute for Advanced Laser Dentistry and teaches LANAP for the Graduate Periodontal Residents at the University of Kentucky.
