Dr. Jeffrey R. Wessel is a local graduate of Loveland High School. He graduated with highest honors from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill with a Bachelor of Science degree in Biology and received his Doctor of Dental Surgery degree from the University of Michigan School of Dentistry. He then completed his postgraduate Periodontics residency training and Masters degree in Oral Biology at The Ohio State University College of Dentistry. Following completion of his training, Dr. Wessel began active duty service in the US Navy with tours at Naval Base Norfolk, Naval Medical Center San Diego and Walter Reed National Military Medical Center where he served as the Periodontics Residency Program Director for the Naval Postgraduate Dental School. He is a member of the Cincinnati Dental Society, Ohio Dental Association, American Dental Association, Ohio Academy of Periodontists, Midwest Society of Periodontology, American Academy of Periodontology, and American Dental Society of Anesthesiology. He is a board-certified Diplomate of the American Board of Periodontology, member of the Board of Trustees of the American Academy of Periodontology and an Associate Professor of the Uniformed Services University of the Health Sciences.
