Dr. Sharona Dayan is the Founder and guiding light for Aurora Periodontal Care. She attended UCLA for her undergraduate work and earned multiple degrees at Harvard University in Periodontology and Oral Medicine. She was a fully funded NIH grant recipient where she completed her Doctoral research in the field of Oral Biology. During this time she became the first student to complete her specialties and Doctorate degree in a four year accelerated program.
Dr. Dayan established and built a highly successful periodontal practice in the greater Boston area, where she also founded the Boston Dental Alliance, a chapter of the Seattle Study Club.
During her time at Harvard Brigham and Women’s Hospital, she provided care for medically complex patients needing oral care in a hospital setting, such as individuals with cancer, diabetes and heart disease. Her expertise in the relationship between oral health and its impact on overall health gives her unique insight when treating patients with other medical conditions.
