The IALD works in association with Millennium Dental Technologies, manufacturer of the PerioLase® MVP-7™ digital dental laser designed specifically for the LANAP protocol. The PerioLase MVP-7 is the first and only periodontal protocol to receive FDA clearance for the LANAP protocol for treatment of gum disease. With his completion of Instructor Training, Kirk W. Noraian, DDS achieves Certified IALD Instructor status and is elected a Member in the IALD with eligibility to advance to Mastership and Diplomat status.

The LANAP Protocol Training Continuum™ is a year-long, comprehensive, live-patient training program that dentists undergo to ensure that they are safe and effective in the LANAP technique. The first three days of training, referred to as Laser BootCamp® (or Evolutions 1,2,3™), focus on safety and efficacy in the LANAP protocol. Only upon successful completion of Laser BootCamp are dentists granted a license to practice the LANAP protocol.
Evolution 4 of the LANAP Training Continuum takes place after six months of LANAP protocol experience and emphasizes advanced techniques and parameters.
Evolution 5 takes place at 12 months, helping dentists hone and refine their techniques. Dentists who complete Evolution 5 have achieved one of the highest levels of clinical, hands-on training in advanced laser dentistry available today. The Evolution 5 graduate has met the standards for LANAP Proficiency Certification in order to minimize risk and maximize successful results for patients who are treated with the LANAP protocol.
Only after a clinician using the LANAP protocol has completed all 5 evolutions of the LANAP Protocol Training Continuum is [he/she] eligible for instructor candidacy.

LANAP Instructors are trained to teach in methods specifically molded to support adult learning styles for impact and retention.
