Dr. Panos is a Board Certified Dental Implant Surgeon, Periodontist (American Board of Periodontology (ABP) Diplomate), a licensed Medical Acupuncture physician, an active-duty United States Army Dental Corps Officer at the Rank of MAJ (P), holds a certificate in teaching from Uniform Service University (USU) Bethesda, MD Faculty Development Program and is an instructor at the Institute for Advanced Laser Dentistry (IALD). Since 2010, Dr. Panos has been providing the highest quality of comprehensive dental treatments based on individual needs to our Active-Duty and Veteran population, Civilian Sector, and in Combat Zone deployments.

Dr. Panos specializes in Periodontics, esthetic implant placement, oral plastic surgery, periodontal orthodontic procedures (Wilcodontics/PAOO), multidisciplinary team complex oral rehabilitation, oral sleep medical devices, laser-assisted LANAP® and LAPIP® gum disease treatment with a focus on systemic health. She is passionate about improving patients’ pain and aid in rehabilitation of optimal oral and systemic function. Her practice blends conventional and complimentary nonpharmacologic-holistic treatment options therapies to aid in patient rehabilitation. Dr. Panos has a passion for teaching and patient-centered state-of-the-art periodontal and implant therapy that is evident in all that she does.

Currently serving as the Chief of Periodontics at West Point Military Academy in West Point, NY and as an Assistant Professor at Uniformed Services University of The Health Sciences for Civilian or Military (USU). Previous positions include Executive Dental Officer for the TRICARE Health Plan Division, Deputy Assistant Director, and Healthcare Operations Defense Health Agency (DHA), Chief of periodontics at different duty stations, Wyeth, Boston Scientific, and Millipore Scientist. Served as subject matter expert and action agent providing dental leadership, consultation, and oversight to all matters impacting the federal continuum of dental care.

Beyond clinical practice in periodontics Dr. Panos has participated in a number of international outreach programs and local community Dental Clinics which provide free dental care for qualifying members.

Dr. Panos is a member of the American Academy of Periodontology, International Society of Periodontal Plastic Surgeons, American Dental Association, American Academy of Osseointegration, Massachusetts, New York and Virginia Society of Periodontics, International Team for Implantology (ITI), and American Dental Society of Anesthesiology and Sleep Medicine.

She has lectured extensively and awarded for her research contributions in the field of periodontics, authored multiple articles, and awarded five patents in the field of cardiovascular medical devices and biomaterial novel technologies.
